At just under five feet tall, Virginia Prodan was no match for the towering 6’10” gun-wielding assassin the Romanian government sent to her office to take her life. It was not the first time her life had been threatened—nor would it be the last. As a young attorney under Nicolae Ceausescu’s brutal communist regime, Virginia had spent her entire life searching for the truth. When she finally found it in the pages of the most forbidden book in all of Romania, Virginia accepted the divine call to defend fellow followers of Christ against unjust persecution in an otherwise ungodly land. For this act of treason, she was kidnapped, beaten, tortured, placed under house arrest, and came within seconds of being executed under the orders of Ceausescu himself. How Virginia not only managed to elude her enemies time and again, but how she also helped expose the appalling secret that would ultimately lead to the demise of Ceausescu’s evil empire is one of the most extraordinary stories ever told.

A must-read for all generations, Saving My Assassin is the unforgettable account of one woman’s search for truth, her defiance in the face of evil, and a surprise encounter that proves without a shadow of a doubt that nothing is impossible with God.

Saving My Assassin is a book that will keep you hooked from the first page up to the last and believe me, I don’t read much under the autobiography genre, especially a memoir. And to be honest I’m not really a religious person, I don’t pray much or attend church masses but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe in God and the possible things that faith in Him could do. This book astonishes me because it shows how a person could be so powerful and courageous when being guided by their strong faith in God. Continue reading “Book Review: Saving My Assassin”

StrengthsFinder 2.0

My manager introduced the book Strengths Finder 2.0 by Tom Rath to the team and gave each of us a copy of the book. Since we have to take the strengths assessment on the website, we have to have our own copy of the book because it has the unique access code that we have to use when we register. Well, that’s actually not the real fun in here. The most exciting part here is to know your top 5 themes or talents after taking the assessment. XD Continue reading “StrengthsFinder 2.0”

My new workplace + The diaper baby

My brother have to get his computer monitor back and I had to give my computer’s AVR to him since he doesn’t have one. So I was left with only a keyboard, a CPU and a mouse. But that problem was solved. Early this morning, I told my husband that I’m gonna sabotage the entire living room, making our 32-inches TV my monitor. :3 It’s quite big actually that I’m thinking to have a larger table so I’d be a bit far from the TV. It will make my drawing and designing a lot more easier since the canvas will be much more wider. Continue reading “My new workplace + The diaper baby”

Happy 23rd~!

So today is our 23rd monthsary, yes… we’re a month away from our 2nd anniversary as boyfriends/girlfriends and 20 days away from our 1st anniversary as husband and wife. And—before we go to the creamylicious part, early this morning we’ve heard something quite epic from the national TV news. It’s the day’s horoscope. XD I’m still a bit groggy since my husband just woke me up to have breakfast when I heard this flash about horoscope. My husband is a Taurus and his horoscope reads:

“You have to gush out a quite sum of money, otherwise a certain beloved will mope.”

Why such a coincidence? It’s our monthsary and his horoscope reads as that. Hahah LOL, we both laughed when we heard it actually. It’s like not everyday you’d hear something like that especially in a special event. Continue reading “Happy 23rd~!”

Colors to your nails

Ever wondered whence the last time you polish your nails with different colors? Mine, I can’t exactly remember when. As an artist, I do love to mingle with colors, especially the complicated ones… like turquoise, cayenne or something else way too out of the main color chart. And with that, I love nail polishes. u///u But I think it’s not easy for others to polish their nails—way to go lefty or way to go rightly.

(Here comes my new colors)
